Seven Deadly Sins Collection

Seven Ancient Sins. One Very Modern World.

The Sins We Condemn. The Sins We Carry.

The Seven Deadly Sins Collection is my contemporary exploration of Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath and Sloth—not as ancient moral warnings, but as behaviours that remain deeply embedded in the world we live in today.

Over three years, I have built each painting as a complex visual story, using symbolism, satire and sometimes deliberately uncomfortable imagery to explore where these sins exist within society and, just as importantly, where they exist within me.

But every sin has its counterpart. Hidden within each painting is one of the Seven Heavenly Virtues, and I have challenged those too. I wanted to question what happens when virtue becomes performance, manipulation or another disguise for ego. Nothing here is simply good or evil.

These paintings are intended to be explored rather than glanced at. Every figure, object, colour and repeated symbol has a purpose, with threads connecting one work to another across the collection.

I am not standing outside these paintings passing judgement.

I am a sinner too.

This collection has become a three-year journey into human behaviour, society and self-reflection—sometimes humorous, sometimes brutal and often deeply personal.

Look closely.

The story is in the detail.
